Today was mostly occupied by watching lots of TV (this happens a lot when my father is home), playing some Wii Sports (my arm is finally feeling better, although there's still a bit of tenderness), watching Geass 14, and catching up a bit on my weekly icon mass. I'll do more tomorrow, as well as maybe some more Geass icons. I've gotten into textless icons more lately now that I'm experimenting with selective color. Speaking of which, GIP. I'd grown critical of my old OT4 icon, so I set out to make a new one. I love the way it came out.

Oh, before I head to bed--earlier I mentioned to rampant_geekery that I would look up Basch/Ashe fanart for her on the japanweb. Unfortunately, as it turns out, I can barely find any decent artsites for the pairing. So instead, just have a couple pretty pictures for now. D:

Actually, I lie. The second one isn't so much pretty (although it is) as freaking hilarious.

Someday I'll have to do a big revamp of my old art links post. In the meanwhile, though, I should do more artpimp linkposts y/n?

The perpetual vague multitude of rabbits that frequent my backyard were extra cute today. First two of the bigger ones decided to chase each other like mad all around the yard--I've never seen rabbits do that before. Then. Then. Then I saw the tiniest baby bunny ever--it could have fit snugly in my palm, no problem. And eeee it had such tiny baby ears ♥

I LOVE BUNNIES.

Sadly, I don't feel like doing much at the moment--I have fanfic to write, but no inspiration for it. Maybe later I'll work on my FFVIII replay or get around to finishing KHII--and I also need to remind Dad to show me how his DVD burner works so that I can start clearing things off my USB drive.

For now, though? I think I'm in the mood for fanart-hunting. I have a bunch of sites to go through before I can work on the next update of my art links page.

I spend a lot of time browsing through Japanese websites looking for interesting fanart. I've collected a number of links in doing this, and after a while, I decided to share them. This is the second version of my fanarts links page. It is organized in several different ways:
According to my judgment of quality
According to fandoms involved
According to pairings represented
Note that the last option does not include all the sites on the list, as many of them don't include pairing-specific art, and others I don't have enough of for any given pairing to include a full list. (A pairing doesn't get its own listing here until I have at least four sites for it to include.)

Before you go to any of these sites, you may want to check out the OFP. It's a site frequently linked to by Japanese artists. Respect it. If you want to ask for permission to use art from a site in icons, here is a polite request in Japanese, written by selphish:
あなたのアートを好き。　アイコンにアートを使っていいですか。　さいけんを施します。　ありがとうございます！
If you get a reply back in Japanese, running it through Babelfish should be enough to determine whether they said yes or no.

There is an exception to this rule, and that is sites with what is called "material," or "sozai." These sites have tiny icons (often made of pixel art), font packs, wallpaper textures, and the like. They are meant for use in other people's sites--although if you use them, you should still link back to the originating site. I will indicate which sites also include material.

Fandoms I keep track of in this post are Naruto, Final Fantasy (indicated as FF or FF# where appropriate), Star Ocean: Till the End of Time (SO3), Fullmetal Alchemist (FMA), Bleach, and D.Gray-man (DGM).

Warnings I use are Y (for yaoi), H (for explicit content), C (for toxic levels of cuteness), and WTF (for sheer bizarrity).
