I confess I'm actually interested in Zechs now that I understand what's been going on in his head. It helps that his OTP is super awesome. Noin, you are so amazing. ♥ She is so his knight. It cannot be denied. TRUFAX: All Peacecrafts are crazy royals who get crazy knights.

By the way, as much as I want to start on some new manga, I really need to catch up on Bleach now that there is insanely awesome Rukia/Orihime in the latest chapter. It looks like KT might grant my fondest wish after all and have Rukia be the one to rescue Orihime. Please let Rukia get some serious character development here, KT, not that lame-ass copout you just pulled.

After I fell asleep (I say "fell asleep" rather than "went to sleep" because when I curled up around Christopher to doze, I didn't mean for it to be all night) last night, there was a race to talk about the latest incredibly awesome Bleach spoiler. On my side, moonsheen wins, because she actually AIMed me about it as soon as I woke up. What does she win? I don't know, maybe I'll write a sexy Rukia ficlet based on the chapter once it's scanlated. Because Rukia is so awesome. Oh man, I'm so excited, guys. I was just talking about some of my issues with Rukia's development in the Soul Society arc, and this could totally rip them open and give a much more satisfactory resolution.

In my excitement over the spoiler, I totally freaking forgot to do my usual compulsive check of gg to see if the latest Geass had been released. As it turns out, it has, along with a sub of the cute little DVD drama with baby Suzaku and Lelouch and Nunnally. Time to download! Then will commence the awesome and the Suzaku fangirling. Who knows, after this episode, he may be one of my favorites.

Edit: ...but for some reason the video on either of them doesn't work; I just get sound. Seriously, fuck gg. I can't believe there are still people licking their boots and declaring "VLC users deserve this" after what they've been doing. Yes, it's great that they're subbing for us, and I appreciate it, but do they have to be such giant assholes about it?

Mmm, wanky post. Anyway, like I was talking about earlier, I'm slowly going through arguments against Ichigo/Orihime and refuting them. This is the first one. Before anyone gets any items of clothing into knots over it, though, please note that nowhere in this do I insist that IchiHime is inevitable and everyone must support it. I simply take down a faulty argument against it. That's why it's not going into the main body of the IchiHime essay when I revise it.

Anyway, here's the argument I'll be dealing with tonight:

It's set several centuries in the future; Byakuya is dead and Rukia is in charge of the Kuchiki and holds a great deal of sway over Soul Society politics. Her primary/official consort is Renji, but she has an awful lot of dalliances, because she is That Kind Of Lady.

Sasuke is the first person allowed into Seireitei from the Narutoverse in many a century. I don't know why yet.

The Rukia/Sasuke dynamic is actually a lot like the Kakashi/Sasuke one in this idea; she winds up as his mentor.

Don't worry, though, I still have fic to write. I will start on muffytaj's Byakuya fic soon--it's sort of turning out as much about ByakuHisa as it is about ByakuRuki; I hope that's okay.

I also really really need to work on "Spiral Out." And eventually I will reread Bleach so I can work some more on "Firebird." Eventually.
