So the other day, I found out that yellowjackets are actually wasps. Well, shit--I'd always thought they were bees. Suddenly everything was a lot clearer: bees are fuzzy cute flying lumps that help flowers out and only sting when cornered, and wasps are bastards who will hurt you, then fly away cackling gleefully.

If only most things in life were that simple.

I need links to name generators. Good ones. I used to have some nice ones, but they vanished from my bookmarks and I'm too lazy to look them up again. Plus, I'm hoping my friendslist might introduce me to some all-new shinies.

I also need suggestions for how to make fantasy maps. Downloadable programs? AutoREALM is more frustrating than I remember it being. Techniques that can be applied to Photoshop? I'm all ears.

I'm still working on worldbuilding, I've just...hit a slow spot. It sucks. I have a surprising amount of plot and character, but only a handful of names--one character name and one city/empire name.

I'm also once again feeling the urge to work on this idea. It is rather more Literary and Serious than the morphworld, but it appeals to me as well. Hmm. I'm not sure what to do about that. Maybe flip between them as the mood takes me? We'll see.

Despite my (possibly hormonally-induced) low mood much of today, in some ways it has been good to me. My Chi charms arrived, and they are ridiculously cute. Plus, I watched one of the Mythbusters episodes I had recorded, and while it turned out to be in part a clip show (boo), it also involved Kari in a bikini being painted silver all over. I think I need to find a screencap to be my new desktop wallpaper.

Like the subject says. For now, however, a matter of pressing concern.

Because people can't be bothered to check interests before making communities, there are now three Chi's Sweet Home communities on LJ. I have finally gotten off my ass and set up my much older one, love_chi--or at least its userinfo. I should probably also set up the layout or whatever.

My question: where should I pimp it to get Chi fans to join? Because it is love and I am making icons and more people need to be exposed to the glory of Chi and all that.

Plans for making today Cute Day were wrecked. By what? Fate/Stay night, damn its eyes.

I just watched episodes 13-15 and had some things explained to me (yes, I needed it, shut up I'm really dense), and I am totally feeling the love for the Saber-Shirou-Archer-Rin love cube. Also, Archer is now my favorite character.

As much as I hate to admit it, I really kind of want to write a long fic now (not multichaptered, I think, because the structure isn't right for it) juxtaposing flashbacks with Archer running into Saber in a previous Grail War with him attempting to forge a weird life with Rin somehow after this War.

Problem is, while I'm probably going to work from the anime timeline, I'll definitely need more information on the canon. I really, really hope someone translates the game soon, or I may have to find a translated script and just read that. BUT I WANT MY PORN.

However, the main reason I am making this post is to draw everyone's attention to the canonicity of Rin/Saber. I have collected screencaps.

I don't think I have the energy to do anything more tonight. I'll make my bleach_icontest icons tomorrow and maybe hack at some fic then (not Fate fic, goddammit, I hate you Archer and your eternal angst).

I have discarded all thoughts of making myself a YoruSoi moodtheme. Well, maybe I'll make one just for the principle of it, but it will not be for myself.

You see, I have discovered the glory that is Chi's Sweet Home (and I believe I owe several chunks of soul to wreeth for finding it). Now, I am a person who is lifted to great heights by pictures of happy kittens and plunged to despair by the thought of sad, lonely, and hurt kittens. There is no easier way to plug directly into my most primal emotions than with cats.

Chi is a small grey kitten. The manga Chi's Sweet Home is about him.

I have read the first three pages of the first chapter of this manga. From my unbiased viewpoint, I believe I can safely say that Chi's Sweet Home is the best manga ever drawn.

At first I thought that I would be satisfied with making icons of Chi. But then I realized that this would not be enough. I needed to have him on every post I make.

Over the weekend, I believe I will be making a Chi moodtheme. Oh, and lots of Chi icons. Which I will of course share with all of you.
