Milly is not dead and was not explicitly confirmed as being Straight For Rivalz. That's all I care about.

I was going to get stuff done yesterday, but instead I submerged myself in making icons. Sigh. Well, today, I am not going to let myself watch Geass 17.5 and 18 and maybe 19 until I've cleaned up my room. Yeah, that's right. Of course, it doesn't help that I busied myself with updating my icontest awards post. Oh, and I should go through KoL; it's Muscle Day today, and I plan to try to ascend.

First, though, I'm going to watch an episode of Scrubs. Which brings me to my reason for posting: I am looking for Scrubs screencaps. I know of a site that has screencaps from the first through third seasons, but it turns out that I forget what episode this screencap is from. It's from when the Janitor messes with J.D.'s motorcycle so that he goes flying through the air and lands on a giant X. This image:

But I need it bigger, because I want to make a userinfo graphic from it. Any ideas? Help?

I. Once again, I did not actually accomplish anything today. Unless you count writing a fanfic as "accomplishing something," and...yeah.

So I'm just going to make a post full of cat macros! Yay!

II. Actually, first I'll make a quick list of nice, accomplishable things to do tomorrow:
1) Work on cleaning room
2) Finish Jiraiya app for [info]apresmoi_rpg
3) Watch Code Geass 18 and maybe 19

There! That should not be too painful. If I can finish that stuff, I might also want to
1) Send emails to local photographers
2) Make some icons

Here are some other things I will likely do:
1) Read more of Academ's Fury
2) Play more Wii Sports
3) Watch more Scrubs
4) Stare at the computer until my eyeballs fall out

III. Now, the main reason I made this post: I actually got some fanfic done! Shut up, I'm justified in feeling a tiny bit accomplished; it's been forever since I've really written something, or at least it feels like it. Ugh, my creativity is so down. Especially when it comes to Naruto. But I managed to churn out another entry for my [info]30_kisses claim by way of a [info]31_days prompt.

Here at [info]30_kisses and here at [info]31_days. Tomorrow I will probably stick it up on [info]jc_eastling, FF.net, and Ficwad, because I am a cross-archiving whore.

For the record, it's only nominally SasuSaku for the sake of having another entry at [info]30_kisses; it's mostly Sasuke-POV Team 7 gen. It's kind of weird; I've never really done this particular perspective on Sasuke before, and I fear I might be losing my touch. I'd rather be writing Suzaku/Euphemia.

IV. Aaaand now, what you've all been waiting for (or not): cat picture! A few cellphone pictures of my own kitties (sobsob I want a real camera back), some four-year-old-plus pictures I dug up of me with [info]evilbeej's cat, and a handful of silly cat macros I made. Images! Of fuzzy lovey mews! Awwww! )

V. Speaking of Geass (the segue to that is under the previous cut. You will just have to click)...a new group, Your-Mom, has started subbing it. Apparently they pick up popular series with slow or unpopular fansubbers. I don't really appreciate picking on gg for being slow (although it does kind of annoy me that they seem to have stopped working on Geass altogether for the past several days, judging by the lack of change in the project status page), but their attitude bugs me enough that I like seeing them get knocked down a peg.

However, I'm kind of leery of watching the Your-Mom avis, because apparently they're really low-quality--bad translations, shitty encoding, and random pointless, distracting comments added on. Still, I'm desperate at this point. D:

...although oddly enough, I haven't even bothered watching the recap at this point. I suppose I should do that before getting into the new ones. For now, though, I'm going to go watch some Scrubs.

Edit: VI. Quick note to say that I picked up Academ's Fury, Cursor's Fury, and Proven Guilty at Barnes & Noble today. *drops money into Jim Butcher's pockets*

However, the main point of this edit is what the fuck, how did it take me until Chapter 9 of Academ's Fury to figure out what "Tavi" is short for? adfjsklfdsjkl.

After I fell asleep (I say "fell asleep" rather than "went to sleep" because when I curled up around Christopher to doze, I didn't mean for it to be all night) last night, there was a race to talk about the latest incredibly awesome Bleach spoiler. On my side, [info]moonsheen wins, because she actually AIMed me about it as soon as I woke up. What does she win? I don't know, maybe I'll write a sexy Rukia ficlet based on the chapter once it's scanlated. Because Rukia is so awesome. Oh man, I'm so excited, guys. I was just talking about some of my issues with Rukia's development in the Soul Society arc, and this could totally rip them open and give a much more satisfactory resolution.

In my excitement over the spoiler, I totally freaking forgot to do my usual compulsive check of gg to see if the latest Geass had been released. As it turns out, it has, along with a sub of the cute little DVD drama with baby Suzaku and Lelouch and Nunnally. Time to download! Then will commence the awesome and the Suzaku fangirling. Who knows, after this episode, he may be one of my favorites.

Edit: ...but for some reason the video on either of them doesn't work; I just get sound. Seriously, fuck gg. I can't believe there are still people licking their boots and declaring "VLC users deserve this" after what they've been doing. Yes, it's great that they're subbing for us, and I appreciate it, but do they have to be such giant assholes about it?

Return of Edit: Thank god for that horrible mean thief who swiped gg's release, removed the VLC-breaking tags, and re-released it. Downloading that now; hopefully it'll work on VLC.

I. General anime stuff, not Code Geass-related: the trailer for the Romeo x Juliet anime. Yes, they are doing an anime based on Romeo and Juliet. Loosely based, since apparently it takes place on a floating city with winged horses, and Juliet runs around as Zorro.

However, since it was never one of my favorite Shakespeare plays, I think these changes make it more awesome. I will probably be following it.

II. Code Geass-related: say hello to the new wallpaper that has finally replaced my Athrun/Cagalli WP. Mmm, Kallen.

III. Also Code Geass-related: there is already Britcest on the japanweb. :( Not that I object on principle, because they're a fucked-up royal family, and incest practically comes with that package, but WTF, people, Schneizel hasn't even shown up in the series yet, why are you already pairing him with Lelouch? Not to mention Lelouch/Euphemia whyyyyy.

IV. One more Geass-related matter: I itch to write Jeremiah/Viletta smut. They are so doing it. Aaaaugh must finish my [info]bleach_yurithon fic so I can do that.

On the plus side, I have at least found a good Jeremiah/Viletta fanart site, and that makes me happy.

Mosso also has some very pretty fanart, including a few gorgeous Kallen pieces.

V. To complete my transformation into a sparkly-eyed weeaboo, I am now going to go out and get myself some delicious sushi for dinner. When I come back, I expect to say "kawaii!!" and use the ^_^ emoticon until one of you shoots me.

So it's time that I sat down and admitted it: I am obsessed with Code Geass. BIG SURPRISE THERE. I've only been talking about it constantly.

Those familiar with my journal should know what comes next: I attempt to cram the series in question down everyone else's throats.

It's your lucky day, because I'm about to cram a bunch of shoujo-styled mecha down your throats!

But I'll be gentle.

Code Geass is Yet Another Anime About Giant Robots. But I don't watch much mecha anime--or any at all except for this one and Gundam SEED--so why this one? Well...there are several reasons. These also happen to be the reasons you should watch Code Geass.

1) The girls. How so? )
2) The antihero. Yeah, I know he's an overly dramatic prick but bear with me on this one. )
3) The animation quality. What? )
4) The setting and politics. Bear with me on this one. )
5) Evil British people. Come on, this shouldn't need more explanations. Everyone loves evil Brits.

Look, just watch it, it's really cool. It's got a lot of Gundam SEED in it--they share a writer (no, not Morosawa, thank you)--but it adds entirely new twists and turns and looks at things from a very new perspective.

Plus, evil Brits.

** Torrents **

Given that gg (the first group to start subbing) has a presence on Livejournal and people have been mocked in anonymous comments for expressing a preference for Shinsen & Ureshii's subs, I'm going to avoid going into detail in public on which I prefer. Make your own choice, or ask me for more information privately.

However, I know not all of you do well with torrents. So I've started uploading the AVIs (that is, Shinsen & Ureshii's version, because people tend to find AVIs easier) to megaupload. I will keep uploading them and adding the links to this post until I've caught up with the current episode; then it should be easy for people to watch [info]code_geass and see when direct downloads are posted there.

Enjoy!
