So I decided to make the last few secrets for fandomsecrets that have been bugging me, then get the hell out of Dodge, by which I mean the Troll Cavern, by which I mean the land of FEMINISTS SUCK AND GIRLS HAVE COOTIES AND I CAN'T BE BOTHERED TO THINK BECAUSE IT HUUUUURTS, by which I mean the fandomsecrets community.

I was going to make more, but then I realized: I hate it when people post angry opinions disguised as secrets, and that's what a lot of these would be. I actually am not ashamed of them. So instead, I'm going to just post them here.

Some other stuff, before I forget:
--Am up to the epilogue of Velvet's book in Odin Sphere. After relentless grinding and much dining out, she is at HP Level 40. She's a few levels behind in Psypher, though. I think when I replay the various books, I'll swap to the Japanese voice tracks for variety.
--Velvet is really distracting to watch. It's not that she jiggles...it's that her jiggle is not nearly as unrealistic and bizarre as Odette's, the most prominent offender of this type until Velvet's book. She still jiggles more than a real woman would (possibly because she dresses in scarves and chains rather than anything practical), but her boobs move as if they were part of her chest rather than wild animals sealed inside airbags and leashed to her body. It's unexpected.
--Spending nearly five hours straight working on my Simon/Nia essay wiped out my creativity pretty badly yesterday. I suck. I was going to get the second draft done over the weekend, but I think it'll have to wait for next week. Hopefully I'll still be done with the whole thing by the end of that week, though.
--Going into NYC tomorrow. Delicious dumplings await.

In lieu of a real post, here are some ficbits I wrote for a_white_rain tonight. She asked for Kakashi/Sasuke and the canon SEED pairings. Ugh, my fic is so gross and rambling when I try to write these days. :( Hopefully she enjoyed it, anyway.

Hay guys I've figured out how Naruto is going to end!

It's going to come down to a dramatic showdown between Naruto and Sasuke. Sakura will stand on the sidelines, because she mysteriously quit being a ninja a month ago. She's wearing a little pink dress and clutching her stomach.

Naruto and Sasuke fight. Naruto totally pwns Sasuke, because he has the will of fire. He starts to pick Sasuke and heft him over his shoulder to carry him nobly home.

Then, out of nowhere, the Akatsuki Leader appears--it's Rin, by the way--followed by Tobi, who is actually Obito. They throw a big kunai at Sakura, which of course she can't dodge by herself.

Shock of shocks--Sasuke takes the blow for her! With his dying breath, he confesses to Naruto that he was never interested in vengeance at all. From the beginning, he realized that Sakura would someday be pregnant with Naruto's baby, as she is now (we flash to her two-months-pregnant stomach, and we see that the hand clutching it bears a wedding band), and so he removed himself from her life so that she could be safer and threw all his effort into training to protect the baby. Now that he has fulfilled his destiny, he can die happy, knowing that he has protected the precious next generation of Konoha.

Sasuke dies. Naruto tosses off a rasengan at the AL and Tobi, killing them. Then he embraces Sakura, picks her up, and gently carries her home to Konoha.

I just separated my Temari keychain from my Shikamaru keychain, pulled off my key, and hung up the Temari one. My key is now on my Shunsui/Nanao keychain. >(

If the spoilers are true, I will actually catch up on Naruto.

Unless Kishimoto handles it crappily and ruins my OTP. >:E Given what I've heard about how he's been handling Shikamaru lately...meh. But I can hope.

Edit: The spoilers were fake. ._. On the plus side, this means I don't have to catch up on Naruto.

I. Not much tonight, I'm afraid, because once again, I have not been doing anything worth noting. :D; Whee! But I will ramble about a few fannish things (with many apologies to the people on my friendslist who are totally uninterested).

II. First things first: why did it take me so long to find this picture? SO PRETTY OMG. They are so happy and sparkly. (And I am going to post My Thoughts On Yaoi Kira/Lacus on your kiraraku post at some point, lacus, I just haven't been able to get them coherently together yet. Um. Oops.)

III. Big important animuuuu news! First episode of D.Gray-man is out subbed! The quality is kind of dubious, but eh, I'll probably be able to guess at what's going on, at least.

Honestly, I don't have much to say at the moment--mostly because I've spent today being sick from low blood sugar in synagogue, then huddling in bed sleeping away my hunger, then going to break fast with some friends I barely see any more, then staring glaze-eyed at LJ.

So useful today!

However, yesterday I did write an Allen/Rinali fic as a sort of birthday present for clocklike. So that was good, at least. I'm also thinking of doing another fic prompt soon, despite all the other fic I need to write--and maybe starting up a "chaptered" repository for all my old Naruto ficlets on FF.net. I'm not sure I have enough prompt ficlets for other fandoms in order to justify repositories like that for them, but maybe Bleach and eventually SEED. We'll see.

And no, I'm not going to discuss the behind-friendslock Naruto wank, except to apologize to dragonsquee for spooging all over her LJ.

Instead, I will have an entirely pointless poll: the Naruto edition of Last Character Standing. Ignore this if you don't like pointless polls, and if you do take it, don't take it seriously. Just pick whichever character you prefer for each choice, then hit submit. It really doesn't mean anything--I'm just bent on finding ever-new ways of wasting my time. Well, maybe when it's done, I'll write a ficlet about the winning character or something. But that's about it.

I was going to include some more, but it was just completely out of hand at that point, so I let it go.

Now I should probably make myself something more to eat, since all I've had over the past twenty-six hours were a couple of crusty pastries (from the backroom of the kitchen at synagogue in the middle of services so I didn't get sick again) and a bagel and some apple slices at "dinner."

I've sort of been wanting to write something like this for a while. For those of you on my flist who are tired of my Naruto crap or who hate SasuSaku, don't worry, I'm cutting it.

The basic topic is the much-loved NaruSaku argument that in chapter 181, when Sakura said that she was happy when she was with Sasuke, she was thinking of time spent with Team 7, not with Sasuke alone. Therefore, this means she was confused about her feelings for Sasuke, and that it's really Naruto who makes her happy.
( There are several things wrong with this argument. )
And now I've got better things to do, like finishing joiedecombat's splendiferous Mwu/Murrue essay, struggling with the camera features of my cellphone, and making sexy icons of SEED girls. Uh, and someday I'll sleep. Yes.

I. afjdslk. I'm only just through the introductions and the first arc, and already my IchiHime essay is over 2,000 words. The limit is 5,000. I am going to have to do some cutting. D: Never again will I choose a leading couple for ship_manifesto. Well, except maybe Allen/Rinali. But I think I'll try again for Temari/Shikamaru next. Assuming I can get this one done.

I. I have been watching lots of Star Trek today. My goal of watching the entirety of The Next Generation proceeds apace! I can feel my brain melting.

II. haro did a set of Gundam SEED Destiny Tarot icons. Some of the choices were good, but others were kind of meh, and...eh, I would have liked more stuff from the original SEED. So I'm thinking of doing my own SEED/Destiny Tarot icon set, along with my planned Bleach runes iconset. ( Here's what I have so far. ) I will, I'm afraid, have to watch Destiny first, though.

III. Your daily dose of badfic! This one causes me so much pain. Of all the fucking bizarre ways to do ItaNaru--but then, I have very little respect for that pairing in the first place. At least it's better than ItaHina.

V. HELP I AM DROWNING IN ANIME TO WATCH AND MANGA TO READ. I even have some Western shows to watch. :<

VI. Priority at the moment, however, is getting myself to write some SasuSaku for 30_kisses. So when I get back from watching more Star Trek, I'll try to do that. No Star Trek for now. So instead, in order to put off writing fic, I will type up those interviews.

I. My inspiration is returning to me in fits and starts. I was able to write some KakaSasu last night; maybe soon I'll be able to do emlan's long-overdue Konfic, or write some more SEED stuff. I'll keep my fingers crossed and my neurons sparking.

II. I think I may have overloaded myself with icontest communities. But! But! So pretty! And I think I might actually win this week at ryuudan! Maybe! Possibly!

III. Why the fuck is there so much pairing wank in Naruto fandom lately? It needs to stop. Seriously, guys. The NaruHina vs. NaruSaku wars should stay confined to NF--I don't want them invading LJ. It's bad enough with the SasuNaru vs. SasuSaku (I still can't believe there are people who are honestly convinced that SasuNaru will be canon) and the, uh, SasuNaru vs. NaruSasu (...sigh). And maybe the InoShika vs. TemaShika. And InoChou fandom? Should not have wank. Amusingly, apparently after I stopped that one, one person on f_w is now holding me up as "the last sane and mature person in Naruto fandom." Sorry, guys, but that was just self-preservation.

V. I'm going to be scarcer than usual this weekend--I'm heading to Pittsburgh to visit my aunt who recently came out of a coma, and I'm not sure I'll be able to hook this computer up to the internets at the hotel. I'll most likely still be able to check LJ with my father's computer, though, and if I have enough internet-less free time on this one, I may sit down and watch some of the stuff I have downloaded. Anyone know where I can download Ouran High School Host Club?

Also I've owed a_white_rain KakaSasu for a while. This is just to tide her over until I can do something longer.

Hopefully a quasi-decent night of sleep will rid me of the bothersome desire to write a fic where Shikamaru and Temari wind up as co-Hokages. Especially since I kind of do want to write a serious fic about them that doesn't end in tragedy, and them winding up working together somehow is really the only way I can see them having a stable relationship and remaining in character...no! Dammit, I must resist!

It's set several centuries in the future; Byakuya is dead and Rukia is in charge of the Kuchiki and holds a great deal of sway over Soul Society politics. Her primary/official consort is Renji, but she has an awful lot of dalliances, because she is That Kind Of Lady.

Sasuke is the first person allowed into Seireitei from the Narutoverse in many a century. I don't know why yet.

The Rukia/Sasuke dynamic is actually a lot like the Kakashi/Sasuke one in this idea; she winds up as his mentor.
