Leitmotif of the year: Character studies. Weird things going on inside characters' heads. Gundam 00, more than anything.
Overall Thoughts: I really wish I still had my obsession with Lockon going, but I'm glad I got a lot of fic out of the deal while I was really into Gundam 00. The canon disappoints me a lot, but I'm really happy with a lot of the fic I've turned out for it. I also had something going in terms of my ability to simply write back in summer (and even early autumn?) that I'd really like to get back. I don't know just what it was, but I'm going to be trying everything to get it back.
My best story of this year: "Meet You There," because I was really on a roll when I wrote it.
My favorite story of this year: I'm going to be uncreative and go with "Meet You There" for this one too.
Story of mine most underappreciated by the universe, in my opinion: "Get Away." Not surprising, though, since it's yuri in a yaoi-dominated fandom and pairs up two of fandom's most hated characters.
Most fun story to write: "Take Care." I mean, yes, it was terrible and OOC, but writing Setsuna's thoughts during sex was fun.
Story with the single sexiest moment: "Meet You There" was, I'd like to hope, the sexiest overall, but if you're into really messed-up stuff (as I am) the sexiest moments were probably in "Get Away."
Most "Holy crap, that's wrong, even for you" story: "Voices in Your Head." Not only is it pairings I don't normally care for, but it's probably the least consensual thing I'm ever going to write. Of course, now that I say that, I'll probably write something even worse.
Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters: "Returned, Rebuilt." I like Anew more now.
Hardest story to write: "Training." I still haven't really settled into the damned environment.
Biggest Disappointment: That I didn't get more written on my "Crossed Roads" project before my Gundam 00 mood petered out. Who knows, though--maybe a rewatch when I'm feeling better will help. I'm also not too happy with the (almost finished, not entirely edited) latter half of "The Subtle Grace of Gravity," but that could just be my mood. I also just plain dislike "Objects at Rest," and it's definitely not getting posted to my fic journal.
Biggest Surprise: The fact that I wrote Princess Tutu fic at all, especially in the mood I was in by November.
Most Unintentionally Telling Story: There are probably all sorts of weird little things about "The Subtle Grace of Gravity" that give away something about me. I try not to dwell on it.
Story I haven't yet written, but intend to: Far too many. For now, let's just say that Legretta/Tear + Tear/Luke fic inspired by the hyper-resonance training sessions in Tales of the Abyss. I don't even really need to finish the game for that one, so I'm hoping to get it written sometime in the next week or so. Oh yeah, and I'd like to write some Macross Frontier Sheryl-centric or OT3 fic.
